Before I went to bed last night, I noticed a number of tweets from Korean netizens. It’s about the “yellow ribbon” ~ and so I posted it on my FB wall. The “yellow ribbon” symbolizes the wait for the return of a loved one.
Netizens have been changing their SNS profile (Facebook, Kakaotalk among others) to the yellow ribbon: a yellow background with a bow and the words â€œí•˜ë‚˜ì˜ ìž‘ì€ ì›€ì§ìž„ì´ í° ê¸°ì 섆(A small movement for a great miracle).
In Cheonggyecheon, people have been tying up yellow ribbons with messages that those who are still missing will safely return home…
It’s been almost a week since the Korean ferry “Sewol” sank and as of 6:20 PM on April 22nd, there are still 194 people missing.
