Seollal or Korea’s celebration of the lunar new year starts today! I’m home alone since my husband and my son went to my first brother-in-law’s house last night, while I was still at work. They went there early for the king crab dinner. When I got home at 9 o’clock, I had to cook spaghetti for my dinner. I thought of getting a roast chicken, but the seller wasn’t at his usual station. Perhaps, he’d gone to his hometown with his Filipina wife (whom I’ve not met).
The “seollal” holiday is from February 13 to 15. The 14th is a Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year celebration this year. Since it’s almost 2 o’clock and I have to be at my first brother-in-law’s house at 8 o’clock in the morning, I wouldn’t talk about the details on seollal anymore.
I had posted a few things on this holiday in the past. One of my old posts has been included in Korea.net’s information on seollal. The pictures are quite small, but they’re clickable. At least, it has some details on what typically goes on during seollal.
I probably won’t be online for the next three days. Sorry guys if I couldn’t answer emails and to those that I’ve received and haven’t replied to (for the last two or three weeks), I’m reserving the 16th just to answer them! I’ve been receiving a lot of questions on how to find a job, but none about healthcare job search 😀
