[singlepic=1146,250,250,left]While I was vacationing, Jehan asked me if I could buy her a pressed powder called New York Color. Since I’m not really a “kikay”, I admit I had never heard of it before. It turned out it is one of those “drugstore” brands that are available at the nearest Walgreen’s, CVS or Rite Aid store. I found the product at Wal-mart though. The brand is inexpensive and it’s even cheaper in Columbus, Ohio where the sales tax is only about 6% or so compared to the 9.25% tax in Los Angeles.
Aside from the pressed powder that Jehan asked me to buy, I also thought that I’d try the brand. I got myself a loose mineral powder in natural medium. I only paid about $5 for it. I’m a label reader and I was amused to see that it is actually designed in New York but made in Korea. Jehan said that it helped her somehow with her problem skin. Lucky, lucky Jehan. I still think that people with troubled skin should get the best acne treatment available for a clearer skin. You don’t want to take your chances when it comes to your skin, right?!
The loose mineral powder didn’t work for me though. I have a combination skin and by the time I got out of the house, my nose is as shiny as my shoes. Oh well, even the quite expensive Lancome pressed powder I brought with me didn’t work on my face either. I guess when it comes to beauty products, there are a few that will work on you while most simply won’t.
